Marland & Prince George's Election Results

I'll bet you never guessed that the Democrats won! And most of the incumbent school board members who ran won. The unofficial results for Ballot Questions is a unanimous win for all the questions - a big "yes" for each bond. Our county residents love to let our legislators borrow money.

Statewide, O'Malley won re-election as governor. It looks like we might have a Constitutional Convention, as well as a new Constitutional Amendment for Trial by Jury, though the totals posted are still low at this time.

The Washington Post reports "Rushern Baker eager to take reins as Prince George's county executive" which he has already started working on.

As Yahoo News says, "No early surprises." Though we did get a relatively good turn out according to the Gazette. The poll I worked at had lines in the morning, a steady stream all day, and a very long line in the chilly evening even though Prince George's County had the highest turn out for early voting.
