Upcoming Candidate Forums for Prince George's Co., Maryland

Your representation in government is very important to how things progress in this county and your area of it. United States Congress candidates are also up for election as well as Maryland state representatives. It is important for all who are eligible to vote and be informed voters.

In the past, candidates have gotten in on name recognition alone. Often people don't even know why they recognize a name. Too often it's because of charges of corruption or other controversial situations that are printed in the newspaper. There are many sources for information about candidates, but attending a forum will help you to see the candidate in person and answer questions that are important to fellow residents who are actively participating in their (maybe your) community. August 4 (Wed.) at Queen Anne Theatre at PG Community College (map) – 6:00 – 9:00 PM
US House of Reps, Council Districts 4, 5 & 8
County Executive Debate

August 11 at Queen Anne Theatre at PG Community College (map) 6:00 – 9:00
State Delegate and Senator Candidates
Districts 23, 24, 25, 26, and 27

August 16 at Laurel High School Auditorium (map) 6:00 – 9:00 PM
County Council and School Board Candidates
Districts 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6

Aug. 23 at Ebenezer AME Church in Fort Washington (map) 6:00-9:00 PM
County Council & School Board candidates
Districts 7, 8, and 9

Each is co-sponsored by several community organizations, including the the Women's Action Coalition, Prince George's Aging Advisory Committee, NAACP's Prince George's County Chapter, and the Prince George's County Civic Federation.
