TDRs to save rural land & prevent more suburban sprawl

CB-80-2008 will be heard Tuesday, November 18th at 10:00AM at the County Council's hearing room at the County Administration Building (CAB) (301) 952-3600. It seeks to save rural land and prevent more suburban sprawl. TDRs (Transfer Development Rights) are used in several other counties successfully. You can read the bill on this PDF. A FAQ about TDRs is here. Contact council members to support this bill. This bill will discourage development in our rural tier and encourage development where there is public transportation. What's good for the environment is good for us all - it's the web of life. Act & pass it on.
