Free shredding & recycling next Sun.

The Prince George's County Department of Environmental Resources (DER) will host a FREE Shredding and Electronics Recycling Event on Sunday, May 4, 2008 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Surrattsville High School located at 6101 Garden Drive in Clinton.

"This event will provide County citizens and residents with an opportunity to shred their sensitive documents and recycle their old, unwanted electronics equipment," said DER Director Charles W. Wilson.

County citizens and residents are encouraged to bring their unwanted televisions, computers, monitors, printers, scanners, cell phones, CD players, surge protectors, fax machines, radios, stereos, telephones, computer mice, VCRs and keyboards to the event for recycling. In addition, residents can bring up to 5 tall kitchen bags or 5 archive boxes filled with documents to be shredded at the event.
