Coming soon at National Harbor

National Harbor has not started off very well as you can see from stories in the news, but they have plans for some good things. According to their newsletter (PDF), these food establishments will be opening there: a fine-dining Italian restaurant, Dolce, which is one of 5 nation-wide; Stonewall Kitchen, the first outside of New England; Catillac Ranch; Old Hickory Steakhouse; Potbelly Sandwich Works; Moon Bay Coastal Cuisine; Redrock Canyon Grill; Maggiano's Little Italy restaurant; National Pastime Sports Bar & Grill; Pienza Italian Market Restaurant; Public House; Timothy Dean Bistro; Ben & Jerry's; and Cake Love.

There will shopping & recreation. A number of retail stores include: Harley Davidson Apparel & Accessories; Occasions to Remember; America! with regional-themed gifts & official National Harbor merchandise; Fossil; South Moon Under; Erwin Pearl Fashion Jewelry; and Jake's of National Harbor with casual clothing. Art galleries planned are Art Whino & Govinda Gallery. There's also Relache Spa and a riverside park with the sculpture "Awakening" in it. And the Children's Museum will reside there as well.

There are events already scheduled there from May to late June, including a Food & Wine Festival, Yacht Show, and concerts.
